VW Golf Mk4 for sale. I have owned this for nearly 6 years but now need to sell it for a larger family car. It a classic Golf at a sensible price!!! It always starts first time, even in the winter.

The standard speakers are really good to my ear. Plenty of bass if that's your thing. I can't find the manual for the stereo but no doubt you can download this if needed.

Air con works, although is not icy cold. Heating works but again it takes a while to get going. Seat belts all work although beware that middle belt is a lap belt so not recommended for long journeys. Bodywork is shiny still but tatty in places with lots of age related marks and scuffs.

There is some bubbling rust on the left wheel arch and on the right wheel arch there was a hole. Instead of repairing this I stupidly broke of a bit of the edge and bend round any sharp edges and taped it to get it through the MOT. I had planned to replace the whole panel but never got round to it.

We just don't keep anything valuable in it and have never had any problems but again this might be a deal breaker for you. Comes with 2 keys and no bleeper. It's advisable to lock/unlock from passengers side door. If you unlock from drivers side occasionally all the windows go down which is annoying and I don't know why but have learned to live with it.

The rear driver side window is particularly temperamental and often takes a couple of attempts to make it shut. Service Now light comes up on start on. Dashboard and all lights work fine.

Rear wiper recently stopped working. Front wipers and water work fine. I topped up oil a few weeks ago and have never had a problem with the bonnet. However yesterday when I went to check oil and water levels the release lever worked but felt looser then normal. The bonnet popped slightly but the little handle didn't pop out. It is there but trapped at an angle and I can only guess it got caught when I last closed it. You can get your fingers to one side but not the other. I'm sure this is a quick fix for someone in the know. Important - Please read and do not ignore! This car is ready to be picked up on the evening of Sat 10 April. Please don't message me insisting you need to pick it up sooner, or contact me to make a silly offer. I have listed as honestly as I can but I'm not mechanically minded so there may be issues I'm not aware of. Like I say it drives well and has a few months MOT left.
