VW Golf MK4 1.9 GT TDI project or spare & repairs
Best for spares or repair, MOT due later this month. Car runs fine (although battery currently flat as not driven for 6 weeks). Will need jump starting on collection - bring jump leads! Has had a lot of maintenance over the last few years Ive owned it but cant jusifty running any longer as I have no use for it. Head gasket and waterpump in last 10k. New turbo around same time as above. New brake calliper to OHR at last MOT. Recently had new drivers door due to glass slipping from frame and pulling the mechanism apart, easier to replace than repair, however I do have a set of metal window clips to throw in with sale which werent needed. Theres also a few unused bulbs and a bit of oil, hydraulic fluid etc leftover from servicing to go with sale since Im not getting another car so wont be needing. Since replacing the door the electrics have been playing up, can be solved temporarily by disconnecting and reconnecting the battery so not sure if the ecu just needs resetting. All advisories at last MOT were addressed except windscreen and tyres. Windscreen is cracked but hasnt gotten worse since passing last year and tyres should still be ok for a short while.
