Volkswagon VW Golf GT TDI 130hp Mk4 Silver, 5 door Hatchback Manual Diesel

For sale is a Silver 2002 Golf GT TDI 130bhp that we have owned in our family since 2012. I have known the car since it was almost new.

Minimal mileage in last few years due to retired driver. The car has a valid MOT. It has never been involved in an accident, stolen or written off. The interior is in decent condition for its year. There are no tears in the fabric etc. I would describe the exterior as average for year/below average in some areas. The front wings are corroding (like evry mk4/mk5 golf with original wings), the rear boot lock is also corroding, and the bumpers are scuffed on 3 corners. The car has 2 keys and service records. There is a plenty of paperwork with the car- not comprehensive for every penny spent, but useful history correlating to the work done, in addition to the service book. A new catalyst was fitted in 2013 ish in my ownership. The car has 4 tyres with 6mm plus of tread on them- they have all been replaced in the last few years. The front tyres are almost new. The engine uses minimal oil and runs well. Acceleration is fast and the turbo performs as it should. The gearbox and clutch and in good condition.

A new battery was fitted this week. No modifications bar some more powerful halogen lightbulbs and a K and N air filter (within the correct VW airbox, not sock type). The car is very economical, I once drove to Southampton at 56mpg.

There are a few minor faults with the car but it is 20 years old. This includes the driver's window switch not working, and the central locking locking all doors but the driver's door (the key does work to lock it). I will not deliver the car.
