In order to avoid installation errors, we recommend having the products installed by a qualified specialist workshop. Please ensure that the cause for the error and damage of the old turbocharger has been rectified. Before starting the installation, the following parts surrounding the turbocharger have to be checked for dirt and density. Drain lines and feed lines on the turbocharger. Engine oil, oil filter and air filter have to be renewed when replacing the turbocharger.
Before mounting the oil feed line, the turbocharger has to be completely filled with clean engine oil through the oil inlet. The oil lines for the turbocharger as well as all flange gaskets and connection gaskets also have to be renewed.
For certain products, it is necessary to replace the intercooler corresponding to the mounting instructions. Liquid sealants must never be used! After placing it into operation, please control all air lines, gas lines and oil lines for impermeability. The air inlet system and exhaust system as well as the intercooler have to be cleaned. It is necessary to ensure that the system is free of chips, dirt, corrosion, oil and any other foreign substances. After installing the turbocharger, the engine should be restarted. Allow the engine to run at idle for 30 seconds before fully loading it. Please note the restrictions on the following vehicle models. 2.0 20V Turbo (838CM). 06.98 - 03.01. 2.0 20V Turbo (838BM1AA).
