We are only 3rd owner. I give it a blast on motorway now and again to give the pipes a clean (no sooted up turbo issues). Drives well motorway or pottering. Practically rot free shell as it was dry stored for several years and spent most of life in south east.
No sign of any body repairs. Some blisters in the paint are just starting on drivers side front inner edge of wheel arch as in photo and a stone chip above the windscreen are only notable rust. Polishes up lovely despite A fair number of little age rested scratches and scufs. Worst are in photos including thum nail sized dimple on bonnet edge. Had new cam shaft, cam belt, turbo and injectors inspected less than two years ago at great expense. Engine starts and drives great. Wheels had professional refurb and powder coat 2 years ago, so very good, no deep kerb gouges though there are a few scratches. Pretty smart though they could do with a good vallet to clean up now. New front whish-bones ball joints and rear axle bushes rear springs and shock absorbers in last two years. Interior is good with heated seats all working. Velour interior replaced shabby cream leather (now binned). Seat are just the "comfort" style rather than sports.
Has tow bar, never really needed it but used an odd time and lights worked when last used. Aircon re-gassed this summer and working well.

Now for a few bad bits. The lock sensors are a bit iffy and dont recognize the doors are all shut. You can still central lock by pressing the internal central lock switch and shutting door behind you and use the fob to unlock, but alarm sometimes goes off if you lock with the fob. Car sometime beeps to say door is open when driving also. When I swapped the turbo, for simplicity I took the emissions gadget off the air intake off and replaced with a standard 130 tdi part.

As a result it has always put out a bit more black diesel smoke on start up and pulling from lights than it probably should. Definitely no oil or turbo smoke though and emissions are never a problem at MOT. Im sure it could be re-mapped to stop this if considered to be a problem but it's never been a big concern to us. I have the parts I took off if you want them. Oversized winter tires are being kept for new car. Half decent bridgestone and pereli tyes have been put on apart from one which is probably only just legal. Very good price for a good reliable daily driver.
