2004 Volkswagen VW Golf Mk 4 Sport Estate TDI 130PS 260,000 miles spares repair
This car has a current MOT (expires 26/4/20), is road legal and still drives well. But Im offering on a spares/repair only basis due to its age, mileage and long list of faults that I have listed below. The bulk of the mileage is my 70 miles a day commute. It has been incredibly reliable over this time. I wouldnt still have it if it wasnt. Comes with 2 keys, owners manuals and original VW sales brochure. 3 time a year and has had any significant fault repaired as and when needed. Virtually all work done by G&B Motors, Wincham near Northwich.
A new clutch and dual mass flywheel was fitted in Jan 2017 at 207,000 miles. It was last serviced in Oct 2019. Front tyres are virtually new and rears are in good nick. Body work is in fair condition for age.
See pics for scruffy bits and dents. There are others but these are the worst. Interior OK for age too. Wear to drivers seat from just repeated getting in and out.
See pic for issues listed at last service. Biggest issues on list are the need to replace the turbo pipe to intercooler and the need to replace corroded coolant pipe. O/S/R door can actually be opened if you get the technique right.
The ariel lead is faulty so no radio reception, The radio unit itself is OK. The engine management light is on - probably lambda sensor(s) fault but its still driving OK. Last cambelt and water pump change 90,000 miles ago so overdue by about 20,000.
