VW Golf Mk4 GT TDi PD 130 3 door 6 speed
VW Golf Mk4 GT TDi PD 130 3 door 6 speed. Car has now covered approaching 226,000 miles. 130bhp GT TDi with a 6 speed gearbox. Cam belt and water pump have been recently changed.
Alloys have been powder coated and are unmarked, the centre caps let them down a little and one centre cap is missing. Recent front disks and pads. I've put two second hand front wings on the car to replace the originals that were rusting in the usual place at the top of the arch. The colour match is pretty good, but not perfect. Tyres all have good tread and all match, though they are getting a bit old now, but still plenty of life.
There are a set of steel wheels with winter tyres available for the car, I'll throw them in with the sale if your offer is close to the asking price. All 4 fit in the boot with the seat up. There's also roof bars available if required. Air con fully functional, blows cold.
Heated seats work well, kids never get bored of turning them on for that burning butt feeling! Plenty of service history, old receipts and MoT's, etc. V5 is with the car. Starts instantly, first time every time. Drivers seat is worn but no holes (see picture). Otherwise the interior is in pretty good shape. Rear wiper not working, there is power to the motor and it turns for part of the travel but won't return, think there are some teeth missing off the drive. Stereo has intermittent fault, just cuts out.Doesn't usually last long. Two advisories on most recent MoT, both for CV joint gaiters.
I have replacement parts available with the car. Advisory on previous MoT about a slight exhaust blow at the centre section. I don't believe this was remedied as it still seems a little noisy, though it wasn't mentioned in this years MoT.Drivers footwell mat worn through, not the carpet underneath. Front valence missing due to lowered suspension / speed humps.
Front suspension / steering has an intermittent creaking noise, sometimes noticeable at low speed, wasn't an MoT issue. All in all this is a cracking car for what it is, I'd happily get in it and drive any length of journey. Having done plenty of miles it's well run in! If I didn't already have another 1.9TDi of a similar age I'd definitely keep it. Will be sad to see it go, would love for it to go to a good home, it's got a good few years in it yet before breaking for parts...
