VW Golf Mk4 GT TDI 130 PD, 5 Door, Manual 2001

1 previous owner before that who had the car since new and loved it as much as I do now. Only replacing as Ive changed jobs and will now be traveling more so could do with something a bit newer.

Currently on 203K miles which will rise slightly until my newer Golf arrives. This is nothing for a diesel Mk 4, they easily surpass 300k miles. This car really has been everywhere with me, up and down the UK and has never let me down. This is the 130bhp PD engine (engine code ASZ) with the 6 speed box and still goes through all the gears nicely and pulls well. New windscreen at the end of August as I had a stone chip that cracked in drivers line of sight.

Just replaced the front discs and pads at the beginning of August. 4 good tyres, Ive just had a pair of Falkens put on the front at the end of August. Full oil and filter change at the end of August too. Very economical for an older diesel car, even when you give it some beans. Comes with a 15 steel wheel as the spare instead of a space saver, with a good tyre if you get stuck. Comes with the in car tools and locking wheel key (plus a spare one as I thought Id lost mine and ordered another one). GT spec, so has the lovely GT seats - the entire interior is in good condition, the drivers seats are usually ripped at this age, but mine is still in good condition with no rips or tears. Pop up child booster seats in the back meaning you dont have to carry a booster seat around with you all the time. The bodywork reflects the cars age; there are little dents on some of the panels, and the passenger side wing needs re-painting really. This being said, there is next to no rust on the car and the sills are good etc.

The glovebox catch has broken, so the glove box is always open, or in my case, I have wedged it shut with a piece of folded paper. This could be easily replaced, but I just never got round to it. I really cant think of anything else thats wrong with the car, and honestly, I cant fault it. Not asking a lot for it, and Im sure someone else would love it as a cheap little daily that eats up the miles like a much newer car would.
