VW Golf Mk4 1.9TDI PD 130bhp GT TDI
Very strong engine, the best Mk4 Golf VW made. 183,000 miles on the clock but still running very well for it's age. If kept well there's no reason why you wouldn't get another 70,000 out of it. MOT has just been done, vehicle passed after the following was repaired. Rear passenger door lever had jammed so couldn't be opened from outside.
Nearside front wheel bearing replaced. In general the car is in good condition for its age and mileage but there are inevitably a few things that could do with getting sorted.
Starts first time every time. 2 new(ish) tyres on front - fitted approx. Power application and ride still very smooth.
Recent oil change, oil filter change and air filter change. New diesel injector loom fitted (very common issue with vehicle of this age so good to have it done). Rust on both front wheel arches (see photo, both sides the same). Common issue with this car at this age. Most of the exterior paintwork is ok but it has the usual scratches and scrapes for a vehicle of this age, except rear bumper by the boot which has quite a few.
Exhaust has slight leak near front manifold. Slight oil leak from vacuum pump oil seal (simple fix see YouTube). Front bumper lower trim screw holes damaged so trim is wired on one side. Reason for sale is new. Baby on the way so I've upgraded to Passat estate. Car location is Blackawton, 20mins from Totnes. Questions, viewings and (sensible) offers welcome.
