VW Golf 1.9Tdi Mk4 (Spares or repair)

I have listed this as spares or repair because it has an oil leak. I have had a quick look and it appears to be coming from towards the top of the engine but I can not confirm exactly where. I have had the car for 18 months and this is the first major problem I have had with it. The car still starts first time and the engine sounds ok. I haven't driven it since I discovered the leak as I don't want to make the problem worse.

Other age-related problems the car has are listed below. None of the problems listed affected MOT results. Central locking works intermittently, all doors can still be locked manually so this doesn't affect the car's security.

The driver's door works, the second press will normally only open three of the doors and the boot. Clock and trip computer, these reset with the ignition. I believe the problem is inside the clock unit as I have tried all fuses relating to this area. ESP warning light, this stays on most of the time. It doesn't affect the MOT and I have never noticed any problems while driving.

I suspect that it may be related to the clock problem. Headlight warning does not sound when you leave the lights on, again I think this is related to the clock problem. Other than these areas and the oil leak the car is in really good condition and the engine hasn't even got to 80k yet. All five tyres are less than six months old.
