Anniversary Edition 1.9 TDi, No. 1 Previous owner, current owner since 30 Aug 03.
OSR Caliper replaced with OEM unit Mar 15. Original Manuals in VW Folder. 2 Keys plus original emergency key. Lots of bills and receipts. Boot lock cover plate slightly corroded and rear key lock doesnt work.
This has been like it since a rear wiper pump leak was fixed in Apr 12(receipted) but the central locking works fine and in all honesty I have never had a need to use the key. Front NS Wing slightly corroded. Front tyres close to legal limit I view tyres as a personal choice and I preferred Avon ZZ3 which are on the vehicle. Suspension arm bush/rear shock bump stops deteriorated - not affecting performance and these are an easy fix for someone mechanically minded with the right facilities, which unfortunately I do not have. It is also more than likely that the new owner will fit an aftermarket suspension set up in line with the current trends.
Slight oil leak this has been a recurrent advisory and in discussion with the MOT and other mechanics isnt considered a problem. In my ownership, she has not used/lost oil and has never dropped oil when standing. Aside from the issues mentioned above, the car is in very good condition. Mechanically she is sound and drives perfectly, pulling well in all gears and is very quick and nimble on the road. The majority of the miles are motorway and she has been driven sensibly at all times and never thrashed.
The paintwork is in good condition with a minor patch of flaking, a couple of minor scratches and some stone chips but as would be expected with a 15 year old car. The photos show her off to good effect. Wheels were refurbished 5 years ago and are in decent condition. The interior is very tidy but shows some age wear as well. Drivers seat is in good condition with no rips or tears, the door side of the seat bolster is a bit soft but nothing major. Overall a good honest car in original unmodified condition and perfect for someone who is able to give her the time and use she deserves. Definitely not a breaker as there isnt much that needs doing but with a little extra effort she could easily be pristine. To be clear, this is a good example of the Anni and a very reluctant sale just ask the wife! Sadly I do not have the time or spare funds to do the bits myself and she is currently garaged and not getting used. The odo history on the MOT shows how little use she is getting at the moment and these are cars to be driven. Non payers will be reported.Price has been set realistically after lots of research, and ties in with Autotrader and other estimates. The car will be advertised elsewhere so I reserve the right to end the listing early.
