Mk4 1.9 TDI Golf (drives but requires work or could be spares or repairs)

  

For sale is a Mk4 1.9 TDI VW Golf that needs some work. The car has many positive features and I'm sure would happily keep going for many more miles. It has developed a few issues which would be relatively simply to rectify. This is a second vehicle for me so it is not worthwhile me getting the work done, but it may be for someone else, or it could be broken for spares/repairs. The car has two main issues. The first is the exhaust that needs to be repaired/replaced. The second is also probably quite simple. The glow plug light flashes on the dash with another warning symbol and there are no brake lights. I believe this to be due to a faulty brake light switch, although I could be wrong. This can be easily replaced. I've removed the dash under the steering wheel so this would be a five minute job with a replacement part. The car starts and drives absolutely fine, the lack of brake lights being the most significant issue. Other minor issues include the passenger door being sticky to open and the bonnet release also quite sticky, requiring an extra pair of hands to pull up on it whilst the bonnet release is pulled.

There is a scratch on the drivers side rear wheel arch and there is a small hole in the rear light cover, which has been covered over with tape. General condition of the interior is good for a car of its age, although there are obvious signs of use as would be expected. All documents are present along with the service history. It has not however been serviced for a couple of years.
