Hello and welcome to the listing for my 2002 VW Golf Mk4 130PD TDI. This car has been a dream to own and didn't think I would be writing this (like every car listing ever made), however I have had a chance to own a bucket list car and cannot keep two cars. It was certainly a difficult decision and has taken me a good month of driving both to try and decide though I reckon I'll come to regret it soon! This is a 2002 Mk4 which I believe to be a great looking model and is the rare 3 door, which gives it a very sporty appearance. It is finished in Blue Anthracite with Cream Leather interior, a rare combination which gives this Golf a very special feeling when you're behind the wheel.

It's comfy with enough features for long distance driving, but usable enough to take into town to fit down streets into parking spaces, with a huge load area with the seats folded down! There's definitely a reason why you still see Mk4 Golfs of all varieties driving around still.. The main features of this car are as follows. Mk4 Golf GT TDI 130PD 1.9 TDI (ASZ) 3 door, 6 speed.

Interior, cream leather with heated sports seats. Cruise control A must when you do miles! Multifunction steering wheel with audio and cruise control functions. Montreal II 16 alloy wheels with Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance tyres.

Multifunction display for average MPG, distance covered, running time etc. As well as information alerts. Sony Headunit with CD, AUX and USB, colours matched to dash and with steering wheel controls functioning. Full V5 in my name, physically present! For those not familiar, the 1.9 TDI unit is regarded as one of the best engines the VW group has made, renowned for it's reliability and performance and it has been used in many different models with slight variations, this is the second version I have owned and it has been the perfect balance of performance and economy and this particular model has ticked more boxes for me, as hopefully it will for you!

I easily see 55mpg each trip and get 470 miles to a tank without the fuel light even coming on, yet have the wonderful diesel torque and performance for every day situations! With the 6 speed gearbox it makes motorway journeys much more relaxing. The history from the service book is as follows. 17/04/03 - 10,205 miles, Oil Change. 21/06/04 - 31,717 miles, Oil Change.

30/11/04 - 43,656 miles, Oil, Fuel filter, Air filter Change, Inspection Service. 24/08/05 - 61,366 miles, Oil, Brake fluid, CAMBELT Change. 16/03/06 - 69,891 miles. 16/03/07 - 76,316 miles, Oil change, Air & Cabin filter Change, Inspection Service. 20/02/08 - 81,595 miles, written'Full Service.

04/03/09 - 86,699 miles. 24/02/11 - 96,647 miles, written'All filters changed. 19/03/12 - 101,222 miles, Interim Service, NEW CAMBELT AND IDLERS, MOT.
20/03/13 - 104,969 miles, Full service, Oil, Air, Pollen, Fuel, Front disks and pads. 11/03/14 - 109,834 miles, Oil and filter, Rear disks and pads, Small service. 09/03/15 - 112,871 miles, Full service, Oil, Air, Fuel, Pollen. 16/08/18 - 123,948 miles, Oil and filter, CAMBELT & WATERPUMP (Air filter done by self). 20/12/18 - 128,769 miles, Oil & filter, Fuel filter, Genuine VW parts. 16/05/19 - 133,585 miles, Oil & filter, CLUTCH AND FLYWHEEL (Air filter done by self). All this with an MOT until 19th March 2020! As you can see it's had 3 cam belts in it's life, the latest being done just under a year ago and 10,000 miles ago, so not due for a good 40,000 miles / 4 years! To accompany this I have an A4 ring binder with various invoices and past MOTs and any little extras I could add, such as Phillips Xtreme Vision bulbs and Genuine VW Mudflaps. I have had the front windscreen replaced with a Pilkington screen with sun shade and it doesn't leak from what I can see after multiple washes. I have a Bosch Cabin Filter and the original head unit I will include in the sale as well as some black VW mats should you not want to stain the cream floor mats. I have aimed to wash the car myself weekly and. I have machine polished it once under my ownership, keeping it regularly waxed with Fusso Soft99 Japanese wax which is highly regarded in the detailing world. The windows have been treated with RainX after a wash as it does make a huge difference in the rain. Inside I have given it a going over with antibacterial wipes, Auto Glym Interior Shampoo and Leather Cleaner. Although not bad, the offside front wing has typical VW group rust forming.
I've kept sanding it back, K Rust-ing it and painting it with a touch in kit to keep it knocked back. The nearside rear quarter has been painted at some point in the last 17 years. It's a good colour match but would rather mention it. One of the previous owners has smoked in the car before, evidenced with a faint smell that I have been breaking down over my ownership with interior cleans and air con cleaners, I'll be aiming to do another before sale with a Simonz air con cleaner can.
The other sign is some very small burns on the A Pillar trim from flicking ends out the window. There is an irregular and occasional rattle when running, thought it was the Dual Mass Flywheel but it still occurs though the gear selection and drive is unaffected. The small print of the sale. Please allow up to 24 hours for me to get back to messages. I will try to be flexible with viewings however it will be work permitting. The item "2002 Volkswagen Golf Mk4 1.9 GT TDI 130PD HIGH SPEC!
